Hammer In My Heart
World Wide Epiphany

It was over a five hour drive from Pittsburgh past Columbus (didn't we visit this area earlier in the tour?!!) and an hour back in time to reach the amazingly named 8 Second Saloon! It was a large venue complete with wooden dance floor and staff dressed in cowboy gear! We all sat on high stools around tables in front of the wide stage with the back of the hall empty. We were constantly being offered drinks by the cowgirls but they were the most expensive of the tour!
The Power Trio came on promptly at 9.00 and the music was LOUD tonight!
Kasim used his walking cane again tonight (he's sorted out which hand
to hold it in!) and he sat on his stool whenever he got the opportunity.
Did he over-do it slightly last night?!! Tonight Todd wore a black
T-shirt that had a blue pattern on it for a change.
As always they started with I Hate My Frickin ISP but during it
tonight several times Todd shouted out "Backlight"! Afterwards he mentioned
the "additional lyrics" and that it was because he was struggling with
the lights directly in his eyes on stage. During his solo spot he also
complained as they were right at his eye level!
Fortunately they played Couldn't I Just Tell You as the second song so it was too early in the show for either Todd or Kasim to do the scissor kicks!
After Love of the Common Man, Todd explained that they then played whatever vibes he received from the audience but that he wasn't getting any tonight and perhaps it was because they weren't at The Vogue (where they played last year!) and asked who had booked it! He then complained about the dressing room!
When they stopped during Love In Action, Todd went into a few lines of Queen's We Are The Champions for some reason! He then changed it to "We are the Campigons" and, in typical Todd-ese style, decided that we were all "a load of mushrooms"!
Hit Me Like A Train ("Which we don't often play") was followed by an amazing version tonight of The Ikon. For a change they kept both Trey and Todd's playing quite loud during Kasim's spotlight part of the track and Trey played it very fast which certainly made Kasim's fingers work! Also Trey seemed to play his solo part for double the amount of time that he usually does!

I'm not quite sure what happened in Trapped as Kasim started singing as normal and then before he even got to the "Let's burn him instead" part he was almost whispering it and sang so slowly that I thought they were going to stop the song! I wondered if Todd was saying that he was singing it too loud (the whole concert was very loud tonight) or what but they did continue the song!
We finally got to hear Trey sing clearly tonight during Temporary Insanity. He sings a couple of lines in that song with just Todd and they appeared to forget to turn down his microphone afterwards so, at the end of the song, when he and Kasim sing the lines together,Trey's voice came over so much louder. His voice is actually quite strong. Fortunately they corrected the sound levels for Buffalo Grass so we could hear Kasim again more clearly!
After One World (complete with punch and "To Indianapolis") the first encore only consisted of Hammer In My Heart tonight before they came back on for the great World Wide Epiphany so tonight's concert lasted one hour and fifty minutes.
