Hammer In My Heart
World Wide Epiphany

Jaxx nightclub was hidden away in a very rundown shopping mall but was full to almost over-capacity inside and very hot especially up close to the stage! The floor bounced when Trey hit the bass drum! The opening act was a guy on a acoustic guitar whose songs all sounded exactly the same!
The thing that concerned me as the roadies set up the stage was that Kasim was given a stool in front of his microphone. When the band came on at 9.30 Kasim was on crutches and Todd later announced that he had broken his foot! It makes me even more amazed that, after he fell over on Sunday, he managed to perform the rest of the concert without missing a note!

Todd jokingly announced at the beginning of the concert that they'd decided mid-tour to switch back to bosa nova style music (hence the stool) before (thankfully) launching into I Hate My Frickin' ISP! It was unfortunate that it was at this concert that Kasim was on a stool as the stage wasn't very high but he still performed with all his usual enthusiasm! During Trapped he changed the line to "When the crowd shouted off with his foot"!!

It was a good unbroken strings concert tonight with Todd actually coming across to the far left of the stage a couple of times (which he doesn't usually do). It was the usual set list and all the Utopia songs went down very well. Unfortunately they played for less than an hour and three quarters but Todd mentioned that they were going to be recording a television show in New York tomorrow at noon.
I think that this must have been the longest The Ikon yet as even Kasim on his spotlight part just played and played! Trey had a long spot too and seems to be growing in confidence more and more in that part of the show from when they first played that track back in Santa Cruz!

They came back for their customarily two encores (which is a bit tough on Kasim making him go on and off the stage!) but the first encore only consisted of Hammer in my Heart (Kasim was obviously expecting there to be a second track too). Todd managed to totally miss out a couple of lines in World Wide Epiphany and got some of the words wrong too!
