The "As close as that" Concert

This was one of the most light-hearted concerts of the tour so far!

The King Cat Theatre was a modern venue (Todd wondered if it derived it's name from a strip-joint!) but was very dark inside with those theatre seats that move forward and backwards at inopportune moments! What they saved on lighting the place they unfortunately appeared to waste on air conditioning as it was quite cool in there so that both Kasim and Todd came on in their coats again. The support act tonight was a guy (whose name I didn't catch) that played acoustic guitar. Although I didn't like the kind of music he played, he was excellent on the guitar.

Todd managed to break two strings tonight and got the words wrong in both Couldn't I Just Tell You and One World. In the latter he freely admitted that he was singing the second verse instead of the first! When he broke his second string he renamed that guitar "bastard"!

Todd also continued playing guitar at the front of the stage when he was supposed to be singing in Love In Action so just Kasim and Trey sang which sounded great!

During the concert several people called out Kasim's name (as they have done at other concerts too) and someone eventually called out that they were glad that Todd had Kasim playing with him again to which Todd replied that he and Kasim were "as close as that" (with attached fingers) - Kasim's visual reply was hilarious!

During the Mystified Melody, Todd re-enacted his falling asleep routine (as he did during the With A Twist Tour) so Kasim woke him up by whispering in his ear again!

Although it's always nice to be able to sit during a concert, as often happens, people were happy enough to remain seated through the encores too and it took a hard core before the audience all stood for World Wide Epiphany.
