Hammer In My Heart
The Surf Talks
World Wide Epiphany
This was an amazing venue! It was basically a shed in the middle of nowhere up near the Canadian border! I went to find the venue in the afternoon and it was totally deserted with a hand written "Todd Rundgren" sign outside it!
As they serve food, 2 Louie's Ballroom (where do they get that name from?!!) opened at 4.00 pm so I presume there was either no soundcheck or the soundcheck was held while the diners were eating! I arrived at 8.15 to watch the end of a seven piece band. When I ordered a drink I was asked if I wanted to pay in Canadian or US dollars! I found a comfortable armchair (in direct line with Kasim's microphone) to watch the show!

When the band walked on stage about half the audience (there were probably only 200 people in there!) moved to the front of the stage so Todd jokingly remarked that they were being mobbed! They had some trouble with the sound at the beginning but Todd told us that even though there weren't many here, he was going to get the sound right!
It was another great concert with the almost standard now set list - the only real surprise was that straight after Trapped (which got a massive cheer!) we had Todd's solo spot whereas I was waiting for Yer Fast before Kasim and Trey left the stage.

Usually during World Wide Epiphany Todd sings "From Tokyo to" the town where the concert is but tonight he just called out "Where the hell are we?!!". Also during the first verse of that song Kasim always stands facing Trey and watches Trey shake his head in time to that part!
