The Hot Concert

The Fox Theatre was another venue that wasn't strictly a theatre as it was an open space with a small balcony around the sides and very limited seating. The concert was suppose to start at 8.00 but our trio didn't come on stage until 8.45. I was told that it was because the support act hadn't turned up but no official announcement was made.

It was very, very hot in there! When Kasim walked on stage, his hair was already matted and it ended up soaked by the end! His shirt buttons also were gradually undone as the concert progressed!

I think that Todd was aware that lots of people had been at last night's Denver concert too as he included several different tracks to what they played there. He also allowed the audience to shout out the names of his guitars! For the first time the first song in his solo spot was The Beatles "Got to Hide your Love Away". He encouraged us to sing the chorus with him too.

Unusually they omitted Couldn't I Just Tell You tonight (Play This Game returned to the second song spot) and we had the Mystified Melody instead of The Ikon. Todd mentioned how many bike lanes there are in Boulder and the fact that he'd nearly got knocked down when he was walking around the town!

I'm not sure if they have a different lighting guy each night but Kasim had to wave at him to turn the spotlight on him for Trapped (as he has some other nights too!). Kasim seemed to be in fine form again tonight as he continually flicked pics, posed for photos and was smiling at people (especially some children in the crowd).

Another great concert and it was great to come out to 80 degree temperatures afterwards.....!
