The Whole Gang is Named Concert

The Gothic Theatre in Englewood, Denver is a theatre with very few seats but loads of standing room close to the stage. There was also a large balcony around the hall.

This was a really great concert for me personally (however I'm not going into that!) but I felt that the audience lacked some enthusiasm but thankfully the band didn't! Todd lasted the whole concert without breaking a string but tonight Trey broke a drumstick!

The set played was similar to the Minnesota concert which flows really well. Again we had a batch of Utopia songs which get the crowd going before they sang the getting popular Yer Fast with that great ending!

A friend once remarked to me that in Utopia, Kasim had the better voice but Todd could do the screams and Trapped really proves that theory! (Tonight though, Kasim put in an extra "yeah" scream at the end of the second chorus which sound effective!) Todd and Kasim's voices compliment each other so well. Todd also does some great yodelling when he sings Bang The Drum too during his solo spot!

"Trapped!!"

The Ikon lasted quite a while again tonight and thankfully Kasim again took a longer spell in the spotlight! Trey seems to enjoy his time in the spotlight too now and makes some great faces!

The Denver Ikon

Tonight as Todd introduced his guitars (he named the whole gang), he got the guitar tech to hold them up - his black one is predictably called "Blackie" and his black and white one (which he doesn't play much on this tour) is now named "Ricky"!

There was no support band tonight and the concert wasn't scheduled to start until 9.00 but, despite the fact that my body is still on Chicago time, those two hours just flew by tonight!

I MUST hit that note!
