Stuttgart – 19th July 1998
I reached the venue (outside of the centre of Stuttgart, of course!) at 6.00. There were loads of people waiting outside and when they opened the doors several people were nearly pushed over a wall because of the crush! While I was waiting outside I could hear them rehearsing - I heard Father Time, Obla Dee Obla Da and some of I Just Called To Say I Love You! Luckily, they only included Father Time in the concert!

The Concert
Richie Sambora was on from about 8.45 until 11.00 and the concert was brilliant! Richie Sambora said that they had changed some of the set which made it more interesting! Kasim was wearing a long sleeved blue shirt (undone!!), black cord trousers and his black boots. At one stage Richie said that Jon Bon Jovi had a better butt than himself but that it was what was at front that counted and everybody (including Kasim) just roared with laughter! During Undiscovered Soul Kasim now sings a lot more. There is one line which goes “Born and raised in poverty” at the beginning of the second verse but I noticed that at a few concerts (including this one) that Kasim only got to the microphone in time for "Poverty" so I’m beginning to wonder if he's only supposed to sing that part of the line!
