Kasim Sulton on Richie Sambora's Undiscovered Soul Tour

Mercury Lounge, Melbourne

Tuesday 23rd June

The concert was held at the Mercury Lounge which was at the top of a casino that was just over the Yama River. They let us in at 8.00 and it was another all standing affair. Unfortunately, the venue played some extremely loud music with a collage of disjointed video clips, accompanied by spinning disco balls until 9.30. As it was quite hot in there and was very loud, I saw at least a couple of people pass out! At 9.30 we had the usual crap support band who probably weren't as bad as they sounded but the music was so loud that it was distorted.

The Concert

Richie Sambora was on stage from about 11.00 until 1.25 am and I really enjoyed it, other than the fact that the music was too loud. They did the two long encores again.

Kasim was wearing light blue jeans and his black and white patterned shirt (see photo attached to the Melbourne Palace concert review). The first time they went off stage, Kasim carried Gioina off stage in his arms!
