Kasim Sulton on Richie Sambora's Undiscovered Soul Tour
Selinas, Coogee Beach, Sydney
Saturday 20th June
I got to Selinas Nightclub by 7.20 but they didn’t let us in until 8.20. It was all standing and there were two crap support bands on first so my back was really aching by the time that Richie Sambora came on at 11.30! Initially I stood the left hand side of the stage until I heard one of the technicians tuning the guitars and I realised that the bass guitar was on the right so I gradually managed to make my way across there a bit!

The Concert
Richie Sambora was on stage from 11.30 until 1.35am with two long encores (he even asked at one stage if we actually wanted to go home!). The concert was fantastic – it made a nice change to see Kasim playing with somebody else other than Meat Loaf. They obviously didn’t stick to the arranged set list which made a change too.
Kasim was wearing black trousers, a black jumper with no sleeves and a red patterned loose jacket (which he took off for the encores). Richie Sambora introduced him as having played with Utopia and Meat Loaf and called Kasim a “pot roast”! Kasim seemed to enjoy the concert as he kept smiling a lot but he didn’t sing as much as I’d expected.
