I think that this was Kasim's third concert in Pittsburgh, PA this year and this was by far the slowest! It was definitely a case of great show but crap audience! It was a shame as this was one of the larger audiences of the tour so far as the theatre seated 2,800 and was "almost sold out". To be fair to the citizens of Pittsburgh, maybe it was just the people that Meat picked but there were few coherent questions and most people just wanted to say how wonderful they thought Meat was!

The concert started well as some guy asked about For Crying Out Loud so Meat told us that supposedly he'd been sued so many times over that song which neatly lead into Lawyers, Guns and Money. Virtually the next guy mentioned Rock and Roll Dreams and Read 'em and Weep (the latter made a few heads on the stage shake!). Meat side-stepped it and sang the full bodied version of For Crying Out Loud which sounded wonderful!

From then on, the concert went downhill! As nobody had mentioned a song for ages, Meat decided to sing I'd Lie for You and Rock and Roll Dreams back to back as usual but this time Ray (who tonight came from Pittsburgh!) was allowed off his shelf at the rocking end of the song.

The first three people Meat got on stage to sing You Took the Words right Outta my Mouth were so awful that it was really funny! In particular, one lady sang so slow with no reference to the drum beat so twice Meat got Kasim to sing to get them back to the beat (which was brilliant!). Eventually Meat persuaded that lady to stop singing and watch!

Also during the show, we had people getting beers for Meat, someone on stage just insisting that Meat signed a record so Meat made her answer a question from the audience and someone telling Meat how she lost her virginity when she was fifteen so Meat got her mother on the phone to tell her! At the beginning of Life is a Lemon, Meat's microphone wouldn't work so he had to use Pearl's and stood at the back of the stage singing at first while Pearl and Kasim had to share a mike for a while!

The "straddler" was disappointing tonight too as she hardly kissed the guy on the table but seeing the "record producer" dancing at the beginning of Paradise was very amusing. This tour Patti sings "What's it gonna be boy - me or her?" as Meat chats with the straddlers each night.

Surprisingly, nobody asked what the "that" is in Anything for Love so they dragged out the old blackboard for the first song of the encore before they went into All Revved Up which always leaves the audience rocking on their way home!

Whereas I thought that Meat was very lacking in the second Boston concert, I felt sorry for him tonight as he really did his best but this audience just didn't help him out at all. It was such a shame as it meant that we only had twelve songs tonight and Kasim's voice sounded SO good!
