The Kirby Center seats 1,850 and was "almost sold out" and had the most courteous (and oldest!) staff of the tour so far. It was a brilliant concert tonight and Meat was in fine form interacting with the audience!
Tonight the curtain wouldn't fully rise so it was stuck three quarters of the way up for most of Life is a Lemon! They even tried pulling it sideways with no effect until eventually they managed to raise it all the way.
There were two lots of people who arrived late tonight - one couple arrived after the fourth song so were dragged up on stage! Again Meat got a girl to lie on the piano during You Took the Words and we had the Meat Loaf Wilkes-Barre choir. Straight after that, a young girl asked if she could go up on stage too but didn't know what she wanted to do there so Patti suggested that she played the tambourine. She sat beside (and followed Pearl) and stayed on stage until after Paradise!

It was great to hear For Crying Out Loud again with all those background vocals but unfortunately Meat got the words wrong - he managed to sing the word "stall" three times somehow so he re-sung the ending! It was fascinating to watch Kasim looking at Meat's mouth to indicate to John as to when to hit the drums in time with Meat's singing!
None of the questions were that inspiring tonight (we had the "that" question early on) but somebody wanted to say "hello" to Kasim as she remembered him playing with Todd Rundgren!
The "straddler" tonight was wearing a really tight short skirt which made the sketch interesting! Meat got her husband to stand on stage too but he needn't have worried as the guy on the table hardly groped her or even seemed to know how! As Patti went to stand beside the table to count her in, Kasim accidentally hit her on the head with his guitar!
Now what am I going to do in Wilkes-Barre for two more days?!
