Welcome to the KasimInfo.com This 'n' That section of the site! This part of the site is about all different stuff that interests me that may or may not relate to Kasim Sulton.
This section is added via Blogger.com and is set in the opposite chronological order to the Blog page but all the timings are set at NYC time again.
Some days there may be loads of items and others there may be days on end with nothing being entered so keep checking back.
Additions to this section of the site will NOT be mentioned on the main Blog page.

I thought that I would start this page proper off by one of my favorite photos of Kasim Sulton and a reminder that today is the final day to vote for Quid Pro Quo in the People's Choice Awards at Kweevak.com. The link to the voting page is http://www.pocoworld.com/vote2003.php.

Unfortunately in the past few months IMO there have been too few threads actually about Kasim on the messageboard attached to his official website (and often those threads that do relate to him too often degenerate into idle chat about other subjects too), however overnight someone posted about guitar tabs. Lou posted a link to the TR Connection that contains some Todd, Utopia and Nazz tabs (http://trconnection.com/home/section=acappella#index) but I found the What Are The Words? section at the bottom of that page really amusing! They have three selections of misheard lyrics for the "Take a dive from your ivory tower" part of Love Of The Common Man (which is the part that I could never understand either!) and Vanessa Sandoval's mis-hearing of a line of Trapped is hilarious!

This is one of my favorite "reads" on the Internet. It's very long, very detailed and fascinating! It's the Mixerman Diaries and tells the (true?) story of a guy who is the mixerman for an album that lurches from one disaster to another - all told in a really amusing way! There are eight weeks of the diary (plus a week later in NYC) so it takes hours to read it all but by reading it piecemeal it gives a great look at what is involved in recording an album and the characters involved.

I am a BIG fan of online Tour Diaries and Journals! One of the sites I read constantly is Tony Levin's Tour Diary (there are also pages for the Tony Levin Band Tour Diary off that site too). I'll admit that I'm a philistine in that I don't know any of Tony's music but I find his diaries fascinating, especially as he plays with people like Peter Gabriel too. Last year he did a long tour with his own band and it was incredible the trips they made by bus, then they'd book into a hotel early in the morning for a couple of hours, do some interviews, the soundcheck and the show, and then get back in the bus to drive most of the next night too! I first discovered Tony's diaries as Jesse Gress often plays with him but this past tour they played at clubs that Kasim played too so that was interesting to read.
