What a great way to spend a Friday afternoon in Chicago....!
Kasim spent about an hour at The Guitar Center in Arlington Heights,
Chicago chatting to fans and musicians and signing autographs galore! It
was a lovely atmosphere and Kasim was obviously very relaxed and was
great at constantly posing for photos and signing loads of memorabilia. I
don't think there was a person there who didn't go away with a great
impression of Kasim (including the staff at the store).
Unfortunately he had the remanents of a slight cold (hence the great slightly husky voice last night!) so he opted not to sing but instead encouraged us all to ask him questions! The first question (that he'd already been asked twice while signing earlier) was whether he thought that Utopia would ever get back together again! Kasim said that he would like that to happen but it was more up to the others! He said that he'd be seeing Todd later in the year and would tell him that there was a lot of interest in it!

Kasim was also asked what his favourite Utopia album is so he said that it was Oblivion as it has his favourite Utopia song (I Will Wait) on it. He was also asked constantly about his new CD and repeated that a new version of I Will Wait will be on it!
All in all, it was a great prelude to his gig tonight in Chicago!
