Review by Shane Field
Some specifics - the songs are particularly catchy. They're the kind that
get stuck in my head (don't get me wrong, that's a good thing). The One
Sure Thing is the one that is doing that most of all. I thought that
Kasim's piano work on this album is superb, and Where Is My Soul and
Remember are two that stick out for me in this regard. I am glad he chose
those two as covers.
Heaven Help The Child is probably my favourite track (although the others
come a very close second). The lyrics, the sound, it's all just wonderful!
I wish Kasim good luck with this album - I hope it sells well, I hope that
more people discover him independently of the people he has worked with. I
do not think it would be a bad idea for him to be `riding high' in the music
charts and with music videos. You've worked hard for yourself and others
Kasim, so please take a well earned break. But if you're wondering about
what your next project will be, how about a `Learn The Acoustic Guitar
Video'? (ha ha, that's a long story...).
When I listen to this album, one main idea pops into my head: multitalented.
Kasim has proved with QPQ that he is one very multitalented man. He did
most of the work for the album himself (not forgetting the contributions
that others did make), and that impressed me. Meat Loaf is very lucky to
have him! This is my first Kasim purchase with the exception of Anthology
(Utopia), and I plan to buy other Kasim material as financial circumstances
permit.
