Kasim Sulton played a solo gig at Cargo Cafe on Staten Island tonight! As the gig was not officially announced on the Internet, Kasim called this his "secret gig"! However, despite this, the audience was actually larger than some of the gigs on his tour proper as he knew virtually everybody there by name because this was a real local venue for him !
Kasim sang a mixture of old and new tunes and told some great stories. He did say during the set that he'll be playing another gig there again next month! This time around, it will be officially announced and Doug Kennedy of the band The Isle of Q will be on stage with him again!
