Kasim Sulton Online Chat

KasimSulton.com website - Sunday 30th June 2002

On Sunday 30th June 2002 Kasim Sulton held an online chat with his fans during the Meat Loaf Summer Tour. Unfortunately there were horrendous problems getting into the chat and Kasim himself suffered more than most! Due to that he arrived about half an hour after the advertised start time but thankfully stayed for almost an hour.

Here is an abridged transcript of the chat. Wherever possible the spelling and punctuation of Kasim's replies has been left as was typed during the chat as most people find it "cute"! Due to the nature of online chats the answers to some of the questions are out of order so they have been moved to make the reading easier.

Kasim Sulton: Am I finaly in?
Laura: Yes
Kasim Sulton: Jesus!
SDOC: And here he is - yes Kasim you are in
Kasim Sulton: Sorry I’m late
Kasim Sulton: Has everyone ordered yet?
Laura: We’re just on the salad course, you’re not too late to join us!
Jana: How are things Kas?
Kasim Sulton: Things are Meatyfull
Gina: The reviews have been really great!!
Kasim Sulton: Considering I’m playing while people are still being seated
Kasim Sulton: Hey everyone thanks for coming…..Bye!
Kasim Sulton: Just kidding

Laura: Amy had to leave for a recital so she’s asked me to ask you 2 questions for her. Amy question #1On the Meat Loaf tour do you play an electric guitar for Sacrifice? If so, what kind?
Kasim Sulton: I broke a string in the middle of Sacrifice the other night
Kasim Sulton: And I had to finish it with the guitar severly out of tune
Kasim Sulton: Pebbles - you were the highlight of my evening in Chicago
Kasim Sulton: You and my new fan Amy
Pebbles: No YOU were the highlight
Kasim Sulton: Did you enjoy my little acoustic set?
Lavell: Loved it
Pebbles: It was awesome

Talk about pregnancy

Kasim Sulton: Has anyone here seen TR yet?
Rock Chick: San Diego on Monday
Kasim Sulton: I’ve heard good things so far
Laura: Kas, Amy question #2 - how many people have you been playing for at the Meat Loaf shows?
Kasim Sulton: You see that’s my problem
Kasim Sulton: because I’m going on 1st
Kasim Sulton: a position that I have a lot more respect for now
Kasim Sulton: people are still setteling in
Kasim Sulton: you know
Kasim Sulton: getting drinks, popcorn, ytalking
Pebbles: you grab their attention - don’t worry
Kasim Sulton: I’m in the best position
Kasim Sulton: BUT I’ve taken to calling myself Meats evil twin
Gina: LOL!!!
Kasim Sulton: And that I have him tied up in the dressing room
Kasim Sulton: And I’m going to do the WHOLE SHOW by myself
Pebbles: We’re there!
Kasim Sulton: And then people start booing me
Laura: Well, we’ll have them whipped into shape @ OUR show
Csw: You were the WHOLE SHOW in Robbinsville

Stephanie: I really enjoyed the radio show on Friday
Kasim Sulton: Thanks Steph
Stephanie: My Mom wants to know what strings do you use on your Dove?

David: That is all Bova-work? Wow!
Kasim Sulton: ALL BOVA ALL THE TIME
David: I still think it’s funny that he just recycled the Celine tracks with Karinne’s vocals for Is Nothing Sacred. Jimmy is soooo funny.
Kasim Sulton: He;s done that for twenty years now
Jennifer: No he didn’t exactly David…..no Kasim on Karinne version
David: Well, if you play the two songs over each other, they are identical…..very close
