06.00 - Although it doesn't mention Kasim Sulton by name, there's a review of the St Louis concert that is complimentary about him and his hard work in rehearsing the band. Click here to read it but the Kasim related part is:
"Meat Loaf delivered a crack band with two outstanding guitarists and plenty of strong voices"
However the review is far less complimentary about Meat Loaf's performance.
Sunday 13th July 2003

It appears that the premiere of the Kasim Sulton Opening Set World (Or Maybe Just US) Tour is still to take place! Maybe tonight.....
Friday 11th July 2003

06.30 - Kasim Sulton receives a mention on the front page of Doug Kennedy's website Douglas R Kennedy.com. As it may disappear at some point in the future, it says:
"I spoke on the phone to my friend Kasim yesterday who was just kicking off his world tour with Meat Loaf. Kasim will be opening many of the shows for what is touted as Meat Loaf's final world tour. Check out Mr Loaf when he comes to your town. It's a fantastic live show!"
06.15 - Why did KasimInfo.com get over 1,000 hits again yesterday when I only updated the front page of the site?!
06.00 - Some Meat Loaf fans are suggesting that people print off flyers to advertise the release of his album in US. An example is posted below. Wednesday 9th July 2003
17.30 - There is another cancellation on the Meat Loaf tour schedule - 4th November in Erfurt, Germany. The official statement is due to "technical reasons" but the only new concert since the original 8 were booked is only 2 days before this gig. The Gigs section of the site has been updated. Many thanks to the kind person who sent me this info.
14.30 - Paul Crook's official website MetalLoaf.com has been updated with some photos of the two concerts last weekend. Click here for thumbnails of the pictures, here for Kasim's leg behind Paul's guitar and here for a shot of Kasim and Paul Crook in front of the 100,000 strong crowd.

08.00 - There's quite a long post on MLUKFC.com that mentions Kasim. Click here to read the whole post but the main Kasim mention is:
"I suppose my first wish is actually for Kasim. He didn't start off the show at Kelseyville [on the tour last year]. Sadly, they replaced him with a local group. But he did at Saratoga and I was shocked, from where I was sitting, at how rude much of the audience was. People talked throughout his set--sometimes, rather loudly. They didn't pay a bit of attention to him. It reached a point where I was tempted to yell, "Hey, shut up, will you!! Some of us are trying to listen!!!" But of course, that would have been even more disruptive, plus it's not really something I would ever do. But the instinct and desire were certainly there. I felt bad for him and afterwards, had the strongest wish to apologize...
But, to Kasim, for the concerts which he will be opening, I wish him quieter, more attentive and appreciative audiences and of course, good reactions to the songs he'll be sharing with us!!! Looking forward to seeing him at a couple of the concerts I'll be attending."

11.15 - 411mania.com have posted a review of the Pushing Red Buttons CD on which Kasim Sulton plays bass and sings lead vocals on two tracks. Click here for the direct link. The album is compared in places to Utopia and Manhatten Transfer(!) but the main Kasim mention is:
"Sideman extraordinaire and former Utopia member Kasim Sulton appears on two of the album’s tracks: The Adult Contemporary friendly “Danny’s Private World” and the bluesy, almost swingish, “Surprise”. Kasim’s voice fits both songs like a well-worn glove and I wouldn’t be surprised if either of these two tracks appeared on Kasim's next solo release. Hats off to Mr. Herrig in the production and arrangement, they are two of the catchier tracks on the CD."
09.00 - Some photos of the set that Kasim Sulton played on Sunday with Meat Loaf has been added to the Gigs section of the site or click here for the direct link.
