19.45 - Kasim Sulton's rating at the Singer / Songwriter.com website is now 4.56 after 27 votes (he actually has as many votes as all the others on that page put together!). The following comments have also been posted on that site about him:
"Awesome!"
"ALL GOOD!"
"Saw Kasim last night in Cleveland, Ohio, excellent show!"
"LOVE THE NEW CD--FANTASTIC!"
16.00 - Doug Kennedy has posted a lovely message about Kasim Sulton and Quid Pro Quo on The Isle of Q messageboard. It includes the lovely phrases "If you enjoy well crafted pop songs and wistfull ballads, please check out a copy of Kasim's QUID PRO QUO on Sphere Sound Records! I just finished a string of live shows with Kasim to promote his CD and man, what a dream come true for me." Click here to read the whole post.
14.45 - The front page of this site has been updated.
12.15 - According to a post on a Todd Rundgren mailing list there seems to be some doubt as to whether the Moogy Klingman gig that Kasim will be playing is on Saturday 9th or Sunday 10th November (this may also affect the timing of Kasim's next online chat).
08.30 - Currently Kasim gets a mention on the press page of the official Patty Blee website. Click here to read it. As it will disappear at some point, it says:
"This summer, Patty will be opening for Martina McBride at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, CA (July 28), and will be featured at The Point, one of the Philadelphia area's top singer-songwriter venues (Aug. 2). And in the fall, look for Patty to open for Delbert McClinton in a special two-night engagement (Sept. 16-17) at The Birchmere, the Washington, D.C. area's legendary music hall; and for Kasim Sulton of Todd Rundgren and Utopia (Sept. 22) at The Tin Angel, Philadelphia's premier acoustic room. "
04.15 - Currently the second item of news on Harmody.com is about Kasim's forthcoming appearance on The Joey Reynolds Show. Click here to read it but as it will disappear soon, it says:
"Kasim Sulton To Appear On Nationally Syndicated Radio Talk Show
NEW YORK, NY (October 9, 2002) - Singer-songwriter Kasim Sulton will be a featured guest on "The Joey Reynolds Show," a nationally syndicated radio talk show heard in 205 markets, on Wednesday, October 16th to promote his new CD, "Quid Pro Quo."
A highly coveted sideman, Sulton is recognized and respected the world over for his work with other artists, including Todd Rundgren and Utopia, Meat Loaf, Joan Jett, Hall & Oates, Patti Smith, Patty Smyth, Mick Jagger and Celine Dion to name just a few. His level of involvement has ranged from playing bass, keyboards, and/or guitar, to adding vocal harmonies, singing lead, and contributing as a songwriter, to producing entire albums, as he did with the Meat Loaf VH-1 Storytellers CD, released in 1999. There isn't much he hasn't done in his 25 years in the music industry.
Like Sulton, Reynolds has enjoyed a fascinating career history. Considered to be one of the most creative persons in America, Reynolds has been involved in "showbiz" most of his life. He was inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland a couple years ago for his accomplishments in radio, television, and music. At one point in his multifaceted career, Joey worked for 20th Century-Fox and was instrumental in the development of the "Star Wars" marketing program. It was one of the world's most outstanding financial successes as both a movie and a soundtrack album. Joey's radio shows sparkle with a rare and wonderfully sharp, spontaneous wit that made him, then and now, one of the greatest personalities in radio.
"The Joey Reynolds Show" originates from the studios of the WOR Radio Network, (710 AM) in New York City, and is broadcast live via satellite to 205 markets in the United States from 12 midnight to 5:00 AM Tuesday through Saturday nights. Kasim will be appearing on Wednesday, October 16th at 12:30 AM Eastern (which will actually be late Tuesday evening, October 15th, in markets on the West Coast). He'll be performing live and talking about his new CD, "Quid Pro Quo," on Sphere Sound Records, as well as sharing some inside stories from his past and present. Listeners can call "The Joey Reynolds Show" toll-free at 1-800-321-0710."

03.30 - The News section of the site has been updated about the online chat with Kasim Sulton last night. A brief outline of the most important items has also been added to the Gigs section of the site. The new Kasim Sulton gig has also been added to this section.
03.00 - One criticism I've received lately is that KasimInfo.com hasn't been updated as much recently as it was previously. Possibly it's because I've crossed the Atlantic six times within 20 days but this week there will be lots of updates to the site so keep checking back!

03.00 - As there has been some confusion, just to clarify that Kasim Sulton WILL be at the online chat tonight at 8.00pm. (The confusion arose as there is still no mention of the chat on KasimSulton.com and somebody posted to several mailing lists about the chat but omitted to say that Kasim will be there which lead some fans to think that he now wouldn't be.)

18.30 - Some great photos of Kasim Sulton in Pittsburgh taken by Jennifer Salyer have been added to the Kasim Sulton Quid Pro Quo gigs section of the site. Click here for the direct link.
17.15 - There have been a few posts today on a Todd Rundgren mailing list about fans wishing that Kasim Sulton and Todd Rundgren play together. The posts have included these comments:
"We both agree that Todd and Kasim should go out as an acoustic duo-- two
guys and guitars, singing songs like "Cliche", "There Goes My Inspiration",
"Cathy's Clown" (I've heard Kaz do it), "Set Me Free", "Across the
Universe", "Love of the Common Man", "The Wheel", "Forgotten But Not Gone",
and so on. Tell me that wouldn't be cool."
"It would be cool, BUT, while Todd has superior talent, Kaz is a working
musician. Todd has played a lot in the last year, but Kaz has toured with
Meat Loaf and others, and makes his living every month on playing, not radio
play royalties etc. All of his skills are right there for the having, right
at his finger tips, Todd has to gear up and shake off the rust for each
tour. The risk is that Kaz shows Todd up, appearing more prepared, caring if he nails the
vocal etc. This said, with all the work that Todd did in the last year, there is no better time! "
"Actually, that is very much part of why I like the idea of them touring together. When Todd has to perform with other professional working musicians-- the Ringo tour, the AWDAR tour, the Power TR-io Tour-- that is when he lifts his game. It would be my hope that such a tour would require rehearsal, and that the collaborative nature of the act would force Todd to raise his game accordingly. I actually think he can be somewhat competitive musically, in a good way-- when there is someone around to compete with."
Well, we can all dream......
