08/31/02 - 4 days until the release of Quid Pro Quo
09.15 - Kasim Sulton is now listed on the Beachland Ballroom website for his gig in Cleveland, Ohio on Friday 4th October. Click here to view the listing. (The Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra are also playing there but in a different hall on the same date!) There seems to be some doubt as to the start time as both Kasim Sulton sites list 8.00pm but the venue has 9.00pm - check back later for the confirmed time.
07.45 - A new section about "Where to buy QPQ" has been added to the Quid Pro Quo section of the site.
06.00 - There was some discussion tonight on one of the Meat Loaf mailing lists about the release of Quid Pro Quo and where to buy it - someone even posted that he'll be up at midnight on 4th September (6.00pm in New Zealand where he lives) to purchase it! (It's possible that the online link on Sphere Sound Records will not be working until later that day.)
02.30 - The Set List and a Review of Kasim Sulton's gig in Bound Brook, NJ on 22nd August has been added to the Kasim's solo appearances to promote Quid Pro Quo section of the site.
00.30 - Kasim Sulton sent a short message to his mailing list just confirming that Quid Pro Quo will be released on "Wendsday" 4th September.

08/27/02 - 8 days until the release of Quid Pro Quo
16.15 - Both the Cover and the Tracks pages of the Quid Pro Quo section of the site have been updated with new info posted online.
14.45 - Robert G. Knight has added another Kasim Sulton show video for trade on his site. It's from The Acoustic Cafe, Bridgeport.
14.00 - The News section of the site has been updated.
02.15 - Another new gig has been added to Kasim's "tour" schedule. It's on Thursday 7th November in Bound Brook, NJ. Click here for details. The blurb on KasimSulton.com says "This is a special FREE show, Kasim's gift to the loyal fans who attended his August 22nd show, where he struggled through the performance with a nasty cold. He felt the show could have been much better, and is offering this make-up date as a 'thank you' for your faithful support." However, as the Gigs section of this site is visited by both press and potential new venues, I didn't feel it appropiate to add it to those pages. Presumably fans who didn't attend the 8/22 show will be allowed to attend this one!

08/26/02 - 9 days until the release of Quid Pro Quo
11.00 - Robert G. Knight has some Kasim Sulton shows on both CD and video available to trade on his site. (Please note that KasimInfo.com does no make anything out of these trades but just provides the link for fans of Kasim.) One of the items is labelled "location unknown" on 21st Feruary 2001, this should probably be 21st February 2002 so is The Acoustic Cafe in Bridgeport, CT. In honor of this the Kasim Sulton Featured Video Of The Week section of the site has been updated with a video from that gig.
07.30 - The main picture on Yahoo Angry's Todd Rundgren and Utopia mailing list page is now the cover of Quid Pro Quo.
04.30 - Kasim Sulton is now mentioned on the CHEX TV Durham website as they will be repeating his interview this Wednesday. This has now been added to the Gigs section of the site.

08/25/02 - 10 days until the release of Quid Pro Quo
11.30 - There are some nice comments about Kasim Sulton on the Mirror Of The Soul website.
11.15 - The News section of the site has been updated.
11.00 - Unfortunately there have been problems with updating KasimInfo.com yesterday and today. Apparently the files were switched to a new server around the time that I was uploading new pages. They then got lost in cyberspace and the new login wouldn't work. That caused a lot of scratching of heads in Nevada and a lot of gnashing of teeth here! Thankfully things are working now.

08/24/02 - 11 days until the release of Quid Pro Quo
23.15 - Possibly because the cover was revealed on a Saturday (always a quiet day on the Internet), despite people posting about it on several Kasim Sulton, Todd Rundgren and Meat Loaf forums, there have been surprisingly few comments about the cover of Quid Pro Quo. Three people have called it "amazing", one person said that it is "really something to behold", one person called it "beautiful", another said that "I can understand that some people would like the cover art, but it's not really my taste" and one person remarked "the cover art is very represenative of Kasim and his style of music, but what is more important is the exceptional music you are going to find on the CD under the art!" As KasimSulton.com links to a page on Sphere Sound Records that lists all the shipping cost as "$0.00", someone remarked about how reasonable the shipping costs are! A reply was posted that the CD is expected to cost £16 including shipping but this hasn't been confirmed.
12.15 - There is a new message from Kasim Sulton on the main page of KasimSulton.com. There is also the results from the online poll. Click here to read the full results but the question (despite rumors that other musicians will be accompanying Kasim at the forthcoming shows) was "What song would you most like to hear Kasim perform on his next solo acoustic tour?" The most popular song was I Will Wait but there is no indication of how votes were cast. Also new to the site is the bi-monthly video - this time it's Before She Was Gone. Click here for the link.

19.45 - Somebody mentioned today on a Todd Rundgren mailing list about having seen Andy Warhol at a Kasim Sulton gig at The Bottom Line in New York.
19.30 - There were several posts today on a Kasim Sulton Mailing List about "tomorrow at noon"!
19.00 - The News section of the site has been updated.
18.30 - Unfortunately, due to illness, Kasim Sulton will not be playing the gig as part of Tommy James and The Shondells tomorrow in Wisconsin. Let's hope that he saves his strength for all the promotion of Quid Pro Quo and the Meat Loaf tour which resumes on Thursday.

08/22/02 - 13 days until the release of Quid Pro Quo
