09.00 - Tickets are now on sale online for Kasim Sulton's Meat Loaf Summer 2002 Tour concert in Liverpool, England. That section of the site has been updated with the link.
02.30 - Kasim Sulton sent a message to the mailing list attached to his official website KasimSulton.com stating that "Quid Pro Quo will be released very shortly. I'm in the process of finalizing the cover art and liner notes and.... re-singing a couple of lead vocals"! He continues that "Nothing that will push the release back much further. I'm really happy with the 'mood' of the the cover. It's really interesting, very concept oriented and there's a lot to look at. The graphic designer who is working on it, Ron Brancotto is extremely talented with a great eye for color and style." The excitement is mounting....!

11.30 - According to the website of the Meat Loaf Official Fan Club about the Meat Loaf Summer 2002 Tour, " Meat will be opening the concert with special solo performances by Kasim Sulton, Patti Russo, and others"! It sounds as though it may well be worth $86 a ticket after all!
09.30 - A new section has been added to the site! As Kasim Sulton is constantly in demand by a number of different artists (plus his own solo work), it can be difficult to keep up with what he's doing when and with whom! It's for that reason that a "Kasim Sulton Diary" has been set up so that it all his stage, radio and television appearances are listed in one place on the site. It will be updated as new dates are announced.

13.30 - Another concert has been discovered on the Internet for the Meat Loaf tour that Kasim Sulton is playing! It's in Dublin, Ireland on 27th July! More details are in the Meat Loaf Summer 2002 Tour section of the site.

02.00 - Well, it appears that tickets that were supposed to have gone on sale yesterday online for Kasim Sulton's gig with Meat Loaf at the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort, Mount Pleasant, Michigan never did go on sale - I'm not sure what happened there!

18.30 - The Meat Loaf Summer 2002 Tour section of the site has been updated with the price and link for tickets for the concert that Kasim will be playing on 20th June in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. Tickets go on sale tomorrow at 9.00am CST.
13.00 - Kasim Sulton receives a nice mention on the NewJerseyCoast.com website in an article about Tommy Zvoncheck. Click here to read the whole article but, as it may disappear, the Kasim mention is:

17.15 - The Kasim Sulton's 2002 Gigs with Tommy James section of the site has been updated with more details of his gigs - most of the shows are already on sale.
11.00 - A DVD and video of the San Francisco gig that Kasim played on the Todd Rundgren Power Trio Tour will be available from 11th June by clicking here and following the links to the last page of the June releases.
10.30 - Both the Meat Loaf Summer 2002 Tour and the News sections of the site have been updated (with previously unseen photos!) about both the new gigs and Kasim's TV appearance this morning.
08.30 - Big news (for me at least!) After three years, Kasim Sulton is FINALLY coming back to UK to play some gigs with Meat Loaf! The dates announced so far by Left Bank via MLUKFC are:
24th July - Hyde Park, London
25th July - Leeds Millennium Square
28th July - Cardiff Castle
29th July - Liverpool Kings Dock

12.00 - No, it's not your imagination! The Quid Pro Quo / Sphere Sound Records pop-up box on the front page of the site really does pop up in different places from time to time!
08.30 - Tickets for the Meat Loaf concert that Kasim Sulton will be playing in Las Vegas, NV on 5th July go on sale on Saturday 11th May. The Mountain Pine Music Jam ticket sales page has been updated to make it clearer to understand. Both of these items have been added to the Meat Loaf Summer 2002 Tour section of the site.
07.30 - Tickets for the Meat Loaf concert that Kasim Sulton will be playing in Mount Pleasant, Michigan on 20th June go on sale on this coming Monday. The Meat Loaf Summer 2002 Tour section of the site has been updated with the link.

11.45 - Apparently tickets for Kasim's Meat Loaf concert in Sarnia,Ontario (that go on sale on Saturday) will only be available by telephone on the number listed in the Meat Loaf Summer 2002 Tour section of the site and not online.
06.00 - Apparently Kasim Sulton's gig as part of Tommy James and The Shondells on Saturday in Portsmouth, Ohio is sold out! It appears that the venue had 90% of their seats sold to season ticket holders before the gig was even announced! Many thanks to David M. Driskell for this info. 11.00 - According to a post on a Meat Loaf mailing list, an article on the ChartAttack.com website states that rehearsals for Kasim's Meat Loaf Summer 2002 Tour will take place at Casino Rama, Ontario, Canada. Click here to read the whole article or (as it may disappear in the future) the relevant part says:
"Casino Rama's big news this week is that classic rock radio staple Meat Loaf will be using their Entertainment Centre as the rehearsal hall for his upcoming North American tour. Meat will also be kicking off the tour with a public show at the Casino on June 19. Play a couple of games of roulette, sing along to "Paradise By The Dashboard Light," hit the blackjack table — sounds like a perfect night. "
07.45 - I haven't posted one of these since they stopped sending out e-mails but currently on E-Bay.com there is a copy of Kasim's first solo vinyl album available! The opening bid is only $7 and there are no bids on it so far but the seller will only accept bids from US. The auction ends on 14th April. Many thanks to SandiDaae for notifying me about the auction.
02.45 - Just to let everyone know that Jane Johnson gave birth to baby Kate (Katherine Eleanor Johnson) on Sunday evening! Apparently Kate weighed in at 8 lb 10 oz, with a length of 22 in. Lots of fans of Kasim will remember Jane from Kasim's Rochester gig in August 2001, and her son Paul sitting on Kasim's lap for quite a while at the House Of Guitars! Also, Jane was one of the JudyGirls when this site used to be called Kasim Sulton - A Fan's View.

09.45 - The great article about Kasim Sulton that was in The Day newspaper in the Westerly, RI area at the beginning of February 2002 has been reproduced in the Press section of the site. Many thanks to Rick Koster, Lance Johnson, The Day Publishing Company and David Killary for helping and giving permission for this article to be reproduced on KasimInfo.com.
09.30 - There was an interesting post made yesterday to a Meat Loaf mailing list about the tour. Again it is not confirmed but the post was "Guess it's OK to say this, but some people have been wondering about the "And Friends.." part of the tour. I understand the band (not sure how many of them exactly!) will get to perform some songs and POSSIBLY their own work!!"
09.00 - Also in the message by one of Meat Loaf's fan clubs was the comment "This tour is not the "Testify" tour. The name of this tour is "Meat Loaf and Friends.....Just Havin' Fun for the Summer"". (The statement also mentioned that the album is not yet completed although other rumors circulating are that it IS completed but that Meat Loaf can not get a record contract.)

17.00 - In a message that Kasim Sulton sent to the mailing list attached to his official website KasimSulton.com on Monday, he mentioned a gig he'll be playing with Meat Loaf on 22nd April. Here is the official announcement that was posted by one of Meat Loaf's fan clubs:
Meat Loaf will be performing at an invitation-only benefit dinner in New York City for Riverkeeper, an environmental organization which confronts and prosecutes polluters on the Hudson River. The event will take place on Monday, April 22 (Earth Day) and will honor Harrison Ford. Tickets, which are partially tax-deductible are $750 per person and up. For further information on how to purchase tickets in support of Riverkeeper please email Debbief@EventAssociatesInc.com.

17.15 - Although it doesn't actually mention Kasim by name, there's a copy of a VH-1 press release on the JimSteinman.com website which gives some details about the Ultimate Albums show that Kasim is supposed to be recording today.
15.30 - A new section of the site has been set up for Kasim Sulton's 2002 Gigs with Tommy James. This is not a tour proper (as Kasim will be playing these shows around his other commitments) but, as during 2002 Kasim will be playing a number of the shows, a section of ticketing and venue details will be available on this site.
14.45 - The Meat Loaf Summer 2002 Tour section of the site has been updated as the price of tickets for the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, CA concert have been announced - $75, $65 and $45! Tickets go on sale on Sunday at 10.00am. That venue is calling the concert "Meat Loaf and Friends", whereas the Konocti Harbor info e-mail lists it as The Meat Loaf and Friends Just Havin' Fun For The Summer Tour".

05.30 - According to a post on the messageboard attached to Kasim's official website KasimSulton.com by Jeff Gauss, TRBazaar.com will soon be releasing a sampler CD for only about $4 that will feature at least one Kasim Sulton track!
05.00 - There's an amusing poem about Kasim Sulton by David M. Driskell on the Mirror Of The Soul website! David was due to see Kasim's gig in Detroit but was unable to attend due to a serious family illness so he's very excited about Kasim's Tommy James gig in Portsmouth, Ohio!

The one dated 12/03/01 announces Kasim's Have Guitar Will Travel Tour and also mentions that Quid Pro Quo will be released on 30th April, the press release dated 12/06/01 is about Ricky Byd opening for Kasim and the one dated 02/05/02 is during Kasim's tour. 11 items of Kasim's press are also on the site, as well as three photos of Kasim on the Photos page of the site.
