14.00 - Apparently Chris de Burgh will not be playing any of the concerts on the Night Of The Proms Tour in Belgium so I've changed that section of the site to reflect the fact.
12.30 - Many thanks to Missy Mannheim for sending some really great (artistic) photos of Kasim Sulton from some gigs in the 1980s when he was with Utopia. The pictures are in the Photo Gallery section of the site.
12.15 - Below is an advertisement for Kasim Sulton's gig at The Tin Angel, Philadelphia that appeared in a local newspaper (click on the ad to see a larger, clearer version).

11.00 - There was another mention of Kasim Sulton on a Jim Steinman mailing list in connection with his work with Celine Dion and the song It's All Coming Back To Me Now. Daniel Meistrup wrote:
One odd bullet point on Sulton's résumé is session work on Celine Dion's Falling Into You album in 1996. That job came along courtesy of Meat Loaf writer/composer Jim Steinman.
"After the first Meat Loaf album that I did way back, I became very good friends with Jim Steinman," says Sulton. "Whenever he works on a project, I'm his go-to guy for a couple of things: bass playing and background vocals. He was approached to produce a couple of tracks for Celine, and so Jim goes into his little secret vault and picks out a song that he's already done and says, 'I want her to do this one.' That song, 'It's All Coming Back To Me Now,' had been recorded on one of his albums in the early '80s. We had the song pretty much done, but we tried to do a better version of it, and it wound up not happening, so he used the older version, and we did some backgrounds on it and changed some things here and there. That's how that happened."
This quote comes from an interview that Kasim Sulton gave to Brian Baker of Cincinnati CityBeat back in June 2001. Click here to view the whole interview (a link has also been added to the Articles / Interviews section of the site.
05.45 - Apparently recently there have been some mentions of Kasim Sulton on a Jim Steinman mailing list! Many thanks to David M. Driskell for telling me about these posts. The first posts were about whether or not Kasim appears on some tracks by Karine Hannah. They eventually decided that he didn't as someone had inteviewed Kasim recently and he said that he'd never even heard of her!

04.30 - As it's so quiet at the moment in KasimWorld and as it was always so popular on the old Kasim Sulton - A Fan's View website, I've decided to reinstate the Tour Countdown page, with an explaination below each photo. It's been over a year since Kasim Sulton played a full "stay away from home for a month" kind of tour and lots of people in Europe are really looking forward to the tour (including me!). For those who can't make any of the concerts, please just enjoy the pictures!
