05/25/01
08.30 - Kasim Sulton is now listed in the Entertainments section on the York Street Cafe website. Click here to view it. Somehow the link is to this site KasimInfo.com! Hopefully this will soon be changed to Kasim Sulton's official website KasimSulton.com!
08.15 - I added Kasim Sulton's forthcoming television appearance to the Future Appearances section of the site.

05/24/01
23.55 - There is a new message from Kasim Sulton on his official website KasimSulton.com!
23.30 - Sombody posted on a Todd Rundgren mailing list about the new interview with Kasim Sulton that is on the Internet. This then led into a short discussion about the recent sale of Kasim's guitar (they reckoned that he got a good price for it) and pointed out the info that I had overlooked, that this guitar was also used on Utopia's POV tour.

05/23/01
20.30 - I updated the Future Appearances section of the website about the possible Meat Loaf tour at the end of this year and I updated the list of Kasim Sulton's forthcoming gigs.
20.00 - On Pollstar.com, for years now any fan of Kasim who wishes to know which concerts he'll be playing have had to look under artists such as Todd Rundgren or Meat Loaf but now Kasim Sulton has his very own page on the site that lists all his forthcoming gigs! Click here to view it.
19.15 - The High Wire Daze website has a great new interview with Kasim Sulton! Click here to read it.
07.45 - At Kasim Sulton's gig on Saturday at The Point, there was a group of people from the South Eastern PA Sierra Club who apparently thoroughly enjoyed the gig! Click here and scroll down to 19th May to read their invite.
07.30 - Although I am (still!) working on updating the links page on my site (having to check and code the 180+ Kasim Sulton links I have is taking ages!), Sandi Daae has set up a new website about Kasim! It's still under construction but is well worth a look as it's growing fast! Click here to view it.

05/22/01

05/21/01
14.00 - I added the Set List, Reviews, Photos and Video clips of Kasim Sulton's gigs at The Saint to the Kasim Sulton 2001 Solo Acoustic Tour section of the site.
13.45 - With only a day to go, the auction for Kasim Sulton's Bass Guitar on E-Bay is hotting up! There have now been 20 bids and the price is currently $855! I wonder if the winner will donate this piece of history to the Smithonian Museum?!!

05/20/01
14.00 - There was a great review of Kasim Sulton's gig at The Point posted to the Kasim Sulton Yahoo Message Board (Msg 580) that was originally posted to a Todd Rundgren newsgroup! The post was also sent to a Todd Rundgren mailing list so someone else who also attended the gig posted some amendments / corrections.

05/19/01
23.00 - Tonight Kasim Sulton played two well received sets at The Point, Bryn Mawr, PA! The set lists, reviews, photos and videos will be added to this site soon.

05/18/01

09.30 - Kasim Sulton's gig also received a mention in the listings of the Weekend section of the Philadelphia Inquirer!
09.00 - Kasim Sulton's gig tomorrow at The Point was mentioned in The Philadelphia Daily News yesterday! It says "Kasim Sulton, longtime collaborator and vocal sidekick to Todd Rundgren in Utopia, hits The Point (880 W. Lancaster Ave., Bryn Mawr) on Saturday. He's promising a solo acoustic show featuring classic Utopia songs and "special covers". Shows are 7 and 10 pm and tickets are $10. Info: 610-527-0988."
06.00 - There's an amazing "Battle of The Sites" going on at the Star Pages site! KasimInfo.com is listed as "the largest Kasim Sulton site on the Internet (currently 3,424 votes), Kasim's official website, KasimSulton.com, is listed as "Kasim's Official website (run by Kasim)" (510 votes), KasimOnLine is listed as the "original official website" (324 votes) and Britt's website is listed as the "REAL Original Official Kasim Sulton Website (101 votes)! There are also a couple of other sites listed. Click here to see the battle and don't forget to vote for KasinInfo.com, KasimSulton.com and Britt's original official site while you're there!
05.30 - Click here to read a news item on Star Pages about Kasim Sulton's forthcoming gig in Pittsburgh!
05.15 - As Kasim Sulton selling his bass guitar on E-Bay was a personal matter, a decision was made a few days ago that it would not be mentioned on KasimInfo.com. However, as Kasim's ex-manager, Kirsten Ashley, has mentioned it on at least four places on the Internet, I feel that it is daft to no longer mention it here. Kasim Sulton currently has up on E-Bay his bass guitar that he used when he recorded his album Lights On. Click here to see photos and the full description. Currently there have been 14 bids and the price is $760. The best part about Kirsten Ashley publicly posting about a private matter is that at least one Todd Rundgren fan has bid for the guitar!
05.00 - Overnight there were another 19 posts on a Todd Rundgren mailing list that had Kasim in the title. Other than me posting about Kasim's new gig in Pittsburgh the other posts were mainly anti-Kirsten posts. 05/17/01
23.55 - There were eight posts today on the Kasim Sulton Yahoo Message Board, mainly all about Utopia's album, Deface The Music
23.50 - There were several posts today on the the Message Board at KasimSulton.com about a variety of subjects.
22.00 - There were a massive 37 posts on a Todd Rundgren mailing list that had Kasim in the title. The original post was by Kasim's ex-manager Kirsten Ashley about Kasim Sulton selling one of his bass guitars on E-Bay. Due to a snide comment that she made at the end of that post, the other 36 posts were, to take a simplistic view, against her but pro Kasim - there was even some discussion about getting her removed from the list! As a warning to other fans, it was mentioned during her posts that she keeps a note of the IPs of people who visit her website, KasimOnLine.
21.00 - Another new gig has been announced for Kasim Sulton !!! It's on 19th June at Club Cafe, Pittsburgh, PA. Full details are on the Kasim Sulton 2001 Solo Acoustic Tour section of the site.
11.00 - I added three great photos of Kasim Sulton and one of Patti Russo that were taken by Frank Ciapanna at The Bitter End gig to that page of the Kasim Sulton 2001 Solo Acoustic Tour section of the site. Frank Ciapanna has also lightened the videos of The Saint gig so I am gradually adding them to the appropiate page too (the files are large so take a while to upload, but are well worth the wait!).
10.00 - Overnight on a Todd Rundgren mailing list there was a link to a coincidental (?) post on an equine list. Click here to read it.

05/16/01

23.50 - There were loads of posts today on the Message Board at KasimSulton.com about a variety of subjects.
03.30 - There was a great post to a Meat Loaf Mailing List as somebody in Holland had received a signed photo of Kasim! "In yesterday's mail I received a great picture from Kasim with text: "Daniel, All my best to you! Keep Playin' , Love Kasim" I am so happy with it, I framed it and its now hanging between my bass-guitars on the wall...!"

05/14/01

15.15 - For Kasim Sulton fans in the Cleveland, Ohio area, The Beachland Ballroom where Kasim will be playing on 20th June), advertise their gigs in The Cleveland Scene and The Cleveland Free Times.
15.00 - For Kasim Sulton fans in the Columbus, Ohio area, Little Brothers (where Kasim will be playing on 16th June), advertise their gigs in The Other Paper and The Columbus Alive. They don't advertise, but they do get a lot of coverage in the Columbus Dispatch.
12.00 - Over the past few days there has been some discussion on various Meat Loaf mailing lists that Meat will be playing at The Night Of The Proms in Belgium, Germany, Holland and possibly Switzerland from October until December 2001. Although tickets are on sale and he is listed as headlining the event, according to Left Bank (Meat Loaf's management company), it is "only 80% confirmed" at the moment. The latest news is that IF (and I stress if) it does go ahead, then certain members of Meat Loaf's band will be joining him on stage, including Kasim Sulton!
05.00 - A new message from Kasim Sulton was posted to the front page of his official website KasimSulton.com!

05/13/01
23.55 - A really funny spoof post was sent to a Todd Rundgren mailing list from an e-mail account called PlaceLawSuits4Me2! It was later reproduced on the Message Board at KasimSulton.com.

06.30 - I reluctantly removed from this site the great article about Kasim Sulton that appeared in The Asbury Park Press.

05/11/01
23.55 - Kasim's ex-manager, Kirsten Ashley, sent three lengthy posts to the Kasim Sulton Yahoo Message Board attempting to explain her reasons for her actions over the past few months. A decision was made to remove these posts. Subsequently, Kirsten Ashley sent these posts (which included my name) to both a Todd Rundgren mailing list and the Message Board at KasimSulton.com. As, so far there have been 29 replies, all negative towards Kirsten Ashley's comments, I believe that the decision to remove these posts was a good one considering she herself stated that she "supposed that in a few short hours Sue will want to consider changing the name of this club to the “Bash Kirsten Board.”
14.00 - There were a couple of posts on the Kasim Sulton Yahoo Message Board about the removal from this site of the The Asbury Park Press article about Kasim Sulton.

05/10/01
23.55 - There were a couple of posts on the Kasim Sulton Yahoo Message Board about the fact that I am going to have to remove from this website the article about Kasim Sulton that appeared in The Asbury Park Press. Although I received permission from the writer of the article, apparently the newspaper has a policy that they do not allow articles to be reproduced on websites. Sadly, Kasim's EX-manager reported me to the APP and they have issued a cease and desist notice. The article will be removed tomorrow (Friday) evening so I would strongly recommend that everybody reads it before that. Personally, I feel it's such a shame that due to one individual this great article about Kasim Sulton will be relegated to being a wrapper for fish and chips, whereas I was preserving it for ever. Thankfully, I feel sure that this is just the first of dozens of great articles about Kasim!!

05/09/01
06.15 - I've added a great article about Kasim Sulton that appeared in The Asbury Park Press to both the Kasim in Print section of the site and to the Kasim Sulton 2001 Solo Acoustic Tour section of the site.
05.00 - I've decimated this Blog page again! All items prior to 4th May have been removed (link at the bottom of the page).
04.45 - I've added the set list, reviews, video clips and an audio clip of Kasim Sulton's gig at The Saint to the Kasim Sulton 2001 Solo Acoustic Tour page of the site. Unfortunately it was VERY dark in that venue so the videos are not very bright - I'll know better next time!

05/07/01
08.00 - I've added one photo and a video clip from Kasim Sulton's gig at The Saint to the Kasim Sulton 2001 Solo Acoustic Tour page of the site. It was very dark in the venue so the pictures are not very clear but Kasim's voice can be heard VERY clearly! I'll add the rest of the photos and videos, along with some reviews and the set list later.

05/06/01
23.55 - There were four messages today on the Kasim Sulton Yahoo Message Board about the Kasim Sulton article in The Asbury Park Press and about Kasim's gig at The Saint last Friday.

04.00 - There was a nice mention of Kasim Sulton on a Todd Rundgren mailing list. Somebody was discussing the bass player Fernando Perdomo who is a big fan of Todd Rundgren and Utopia: "Fernando sites Kasim as one of his biggest bass influences along with some guy named McCartney. He can talk Todd all day long and there's very little he doesn't know about the history of rock and roll. I was very impressed with his vast musical knowledge, more so when he told me he was only 21! Maybe there is hope for the younger generation."

05/04/01
23.55 - There were a couple of posts today on the Kasim Sulton Yahoo Message Board about Kasim's cologne.
23.00 - Tonight, Kasim Sulton played his third gig of the Kasim Sulton 2001 Solo Acoustic Tour at The Saint, Asbury Park, NJ. The set list, review, photos and video clips will be added to the site later. I've added a page about the gig to the News section of this site.
22.00 - A Kasim Sulton Online Radio Station was set up. It is connected with Kasim Sulton's official website KasimSulton.com and is currently continuously re-broadcasting one of Kasim's live performances from 1982 at My Fathers Place .
12.30 - There was a really great write-up about Kasim Sulton in The Asbury Park Press newspaper. Once I have received permission from the newspaper, I will reproduce it on the site. Meanwhile click here to read what was written.
12.00 - There was a great description about Kasim Sulton on the Angry's Todd Rundgren and Utopia Yahoo Board (Msg #2038) as someone said that she was "now more excited than ever to see Kasim's solo show! He has the voice of an angel"!

02.30 - I added the great photo of Kasim Sulton that was taken by Frank Ciapanna below the Blog section for today.
02.00 - Yesterday there was an amazing thirteen posts on the Kasim Sulton Yahoo Message Board about Kasim Sulton gigs!
