03/31/01 - One Week until Kasim's first solo gig !!!!
20.15 - There were several messages on the Kasim Sulton Yahoo Message Board about Kasim Sulton CDs.
19.30 - I added to the Interactive Section of the site, a hilarious message that Melissa McIvor sent to Kasim Sulton that Melissa has kindly agreed can be added to KasimInfo.com. It contains ten (and more!) reasons why Kasim should play in Toronto, plus a clever spoof of the Todd Rundgren song I Hate My Friggin' ISP! I also added some reasons why I think that Kasim should play in UK too.
11.10 - I added the Photography Rules for Kasim's forthcoming gigs to the individual pages of the Kasim Solo Gigs section of the site.
10.00 - Kasim received a very brief mention on a Glen Burtnik mailing list: "About Glen's voice live, I was really impressed when I heard Glen singing during the Xmas show, especially when he sang Love is the Answer with Kasim Sulton."
09.30 - There was a brief but complimentary mention of Kasim Sulton in a review by David Ling of Meat Loaf's reissued Bat Out Of Hell album in Classic Rock Magazine for April 2001: "The album features the cream of American rock; bassist Kasim Sultan, keyboard player Roger Powell and drummer John Wilcox of Rundgren’s band Utopia, saxophonist Edgar Winter as well as the E Street Band’s piano player Roy Bittan and drummer Max Weinberg. And, of course, Ellen Foley."

10.45 - I added the message about photography to the site that I received from Kasim Sulton: "PLEASE NOTE: Photography, video taping, and audio recording WILL BE permitted at Kasim's shows provided those interested kindly sign a waiver prior to showtime certifying all media obtained will be for personal use only. This may be taken care of at the venue itself or in advance by emailing your name, address and phone number to: KasimMusic@aol.com. Passes will be available for pick-up at venue, day of show. Please be advised that not all requests will necessarily be honored, and the use of any photography or recording equipment is strictly forbidden unless approved by Kasim prior to showtime. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding."
08.30 - I added the Kasim Sulton Interactive Section of the site and included the second Kasim Sulton game which is based on Hangman.
07.00 - Kasim Sulton has his own page on TicketMaster!!! Click here to see it. After years of having to purchase tickets through TicketMaster to see Kasim by looking up Todd Rundgren or Meat Loaf, it's great that now I can finally put Kasim Sulton into the search box and come up with an event!!
06.30 - It appears that the server problems are over (fingers crossed!).
03/29/01 - 9 days until Kasim's first solo gig !!!!
19.00 - Tickets have gone on sale on-line for Kasim Sulton's 4/5/01 gig at The Saint! The link is on the Kasim's Solo Gigs page.

09.00 - There were problems on and off all day on the server for the site so there were times when KasimInfo.com could not be accessed - sorry!
03/28/01 - 10 days until Kasim's first solo gig !!!!
19.15 - For some reason my server has been down all day so I've been unable to update KasimInfo.com (for a few hours the site wasn't even able to be viewed). Thankfully it's okay now so I've updated the This Day and Trivia question.
08.00 - Yesterday there were an amazing TWENTY TWO messages on the Kasim Sulton Yahoo Message Board from all different people, mainly about the new Kasim Sulton Card Game!
03/27/01 - 11 days until Kasim's first solo gig !!!!
10.15 - There were about ten posts on the Kasim Sulton Yahoo Message Board from all different people about the new Kasim Sulton Card Game. It appears that the quickest time so far is a very impressive 2.10!
07.45 - I've added a Kasim Sulton Card Game to the site! The link is to the left of this page and on the opening page of the site. Enjoy....and no cheating!
07.15 - Yesterday two websites added items about Kasim! The Meat Loaf UK Fan Club website added Kasim's forthcoming gigs to it's News section and KasimOnLine.com states that video cameras will be allowed at Kasim's forthcoming gigs for personal use only, plus lists the places to purchase Kasim's music.
06.45 - I belatedly added the news about Kasim's fothcoming radio show to the News section of the site and added the link to Kasim's Solo Gigs page to the main index page.
05.00 - I changed the layout of the front page slightly to include a link to the Kasim Sulton Yahoo Message Board which is becoming quite active!
04.45 - Somebody suggested to me that I leave up the Trivia question from the previous day when I add the answer (as they can not always remember the question!). After consideration, I've decided not to do this because, this way, if you do forget what the question was, you can play Jeopardy by guessing the question from the answer!
03/26/01 - 12 days until Kasim's first solo gig !!!!
21.10 - That's all the updates on the site today but tomorrow I'm going to add a section on how to play with Kasim!
21.00 - I added the news about Kasim's forthcoming appearance on The Electric Ballroom to the Future Appearances section and the front page of the site.
18.30 - I (belatedly!) added Kasim's forthcoming Columbus, Ohio gig to the Future Appearances section of the site.
16.30 - I added another set of great photos of Kasim Sulton that were taken by Frank Ciapanna to the Photos section of the site! They are the remaining fourteen photos from The Ricky Byrd Trio gig of 3/21/2000 and include a couple of backstage shots too! Many thanks to Frank Ciapanna for providing these great photos. I also reversed the order of the Photos section so that the newest photos chronologically are at the top which brings it in line with the rest of the site.
16.00 - I was amazed to discover that, despite KasimInfo.com being shut for a week or so, it was still receiving an average of eighty hits each day!
12.30 - I retrospectively added the news of Kasim's fifth solo gig to the News section of the site and added Kasim's "OK, I'm back" message that is on KasimSulton.com to the Kasim's Messages section of the site.
09.45 - As it's *only* 12 days away from Kasim's first solo gig, I advertised the fact to a couple of Todd Rundgren and Meat Loaf mailing lists and there were some positive responses about fans wishing that he would play gigs in other places too! UK, Atlanta and the Washington Metro area were mentioned!
09.00 - There were several posts on the Kasim Sulton Yahoo Message Board about Kasim's forthcoming gigs and about KasimInfo.com.
07.00 - KasimInfo.com re-opened!
Many thanks to all the kind people who sent messages this past week about the site. It wasn't a publicity stunt (as one cynic suggested) but simply that I needed to close the site to give myself a break to sort out a few things (and priorities). The site is now fully re-open with lots of updates to come later today!
03/25/01 - KasimInfo.com Closed
There was a question about Kasim in a post to a Todd Rundgren mailing list: "Was it not on this list that Kas wrote of his disillusionment about proffered "help" with a tour? I heard from his mom today and she assures me that there still is to be a tour. Any info out there?"
03/24/01 - KasimInfo.com Closed
Kasim received a brief mention in a post to a Todd Rundgren mailing list about people's fav gigs: "Maybe it's because New Haven is my old stomping ground, but the vibe is always wonderful and Todd is always "on" for those shows. That particular show was a trip!! Getting to sit on a barstool right up front-center because of the leg surgery was just too convienient... Bob (step father) still goes on and on about how nice everyone was to him (I couldn't drive to the show). He always liked Todd but the shows he took me to that tour got him totally addicted to the fun of hanging out and also seeing the shows.. It was pretty funny last summer because before the show at the Cameleon (Lancaster, PA), Kaz recognized him and knew he was my step dad.. Sat down and talked to him for
abit.. Now Bob feels like a vip *LOL*"
Kasim Sulton's gig on 4th May at The Saint was finally listed on their website! Click here and here to see it.

will be in Columbus, Ohio at Little Brother's on Saturday 16th June at
8.00pm. I added fuller details on the Kasim Sulton Solo Gigs page of the site which was still open.

I added a page of fuller details about Kasim's solo gigs to the site.
I also sent a message to the KasimSulton Mailing List which said "I've decided to close KasimInfo.com for a while as I could do without all the stuff that's going on at the moment. I've kept up the exclusive photos and music that Kasim sent to the site, plus a link to KasimSulton.com. If any new gigs are announced, I'll add them too. Thanks to everybody who has helped with the site and has sent kind e-mails to me. I'll be back in touch when life is sweeter."
There were some posts on the Kasim Sulton Yahoo Message Board again about Kasim's forthcoming gig at Bryn Mawr, PA.

03/18/01 - KasimInfo.com Closed
There was an interesting post that mentioned Kasim on a Meat Loaf mailing list as the guy from Holland introduced himself to the list: "I am bass guitar player for 6 years now, and really enjoy playing with Meat Loaf music. My band does also some tracks of Meat Loaf. Of-course I find the way Kasim plays awesome. I
enjoy watching him playing."
03/17/01
10.00 - The Todd Rundgren Connection website has changed it's wording in it's "Utopian News" section to recommend this site, KasimInfo.com, and Britt's Simply Kasim website. Todd's site says: "Until the situation clears concerning Kasim's "official" site, it's probably best to get your Kasim news from the fan sites. Two fan sites, "KasimInfo.com" and "Simply Kasim" are available.
03/16/01
10.30 - I added about Kasim Sulton playing with both the Chicken Shed Theatre Company and Brian May in one night to the "Mid to Late 90s" page of the Bio section of the site. Although KasimOnLine.com lists Kasim as playing with Brian May at Wembley in 1997, I have been unable to substaniate that as Brian May was not touring that year. If anybody knows better, please let me know....
06.30 - The website for the Official Meat Loaf Fan Club has updated it's latest news about Kasim to include a link to his new official website KasimSulton.com and the four gigs that have been officially confirmed. This page must be in reverse order of importance as the details about Kasim are waaaay down at the bottom of the page!
03/15/01
11.15 - As promised yesterday, I added some really great photos of Kasim Sulton that he himself sent me for the exclusive use of KasimInfo.com. They are in the Photos section of the site, plus there is a FastTrack box on the front page of the site. Enjoy....
07.40 - I updated the Bio section of the site with what's been happening to Kasim during the first part of 2001.
07.15 - As I have been strongly advised, I posted copyright notices onto some pages of the site. I also added the "WinterWonderland" sample photo of Kasim to the front page of the site.
03.45 - Yesterday there were a few of posts on the Kasim Sulton Yahoo Message board about cover songs that Kasim could sing at his forthcoming solo gigs.
03/14/01
19.45 - I don't usually do this on the Blog page, but just to let you all know that tomorrow I will be adding FIVE great exclusive photos of Kasim Sulton to this website from a recent photo shoot he had !!!
18.30 - There was a post that mentioned Kasim Sulton on a Todd Rundgren mailing list that I think you would call a back-handed compliment to him (or an insult!): "Man, I would love to hear Cheap Trick do "Back on the Streets". Robin Zander is the perfect voice for it. Kaz voice was too pretty for it. He always sounds innocent. Not the "experience" in the tone to carry off whats in the words."
11.30 - There's a great write-up about Kasim and his forthcoming solo shows on the official Glen Burtnik website! Click here for the direct link. As I write this it is the second item down. It's great to know that even Glen's official website is advertising Kasim's solo shows!
07.45 - Also overnight KasimOnLine.com was updated to include the two Kasim Sulton gigs which were posted on this website, KasimInfo.com yesterday and the day before. Also on KasimOnLine.com there is a gig in Ohio listed but this gig is NOT yet 100% confirmed. Please do not book unrefundable tickets, flights or hotels until this gig has been confirmed by Kasim himself. It is for this reason that I am not including it at present on the Future Appearances section of the site.
07.30 - Overnight there were a couple of posts on the Kasim Sulton Yahoo Message board.
03/13/01
20.15 - There was a message on a Todd Rundgren mailing list about Kasim's new official website KasimSulton.com. Previously somebody had posted: "Everyone check out the beginnings of Kasim's new official site? Not much there yet but a most lovely photo..." To which someone else replied: "Well, what would anyone expect, he's Purrrrfect. remember the last major Interocitor chat.... He was noted as the picture of Dorian Grey and so Genetics are wonderful....... nuthin like a man in his forties lookin like late twenties".
10.45 - I added the great news about Kasim's gig at The Saint on Friday 4th May to both the Future Appearances page and the front page of the site. Kasim has also confirmed that he WILL be playing the two gigs at The Point on 19th May!
06.00 - The Site Blog page was getting too large again (there's just too much news about Kasim!!) so I moved all but the last couple of days to another page. The link is at the bottom of this page.
05.30 - Overnight (at least for me!) the E-Bay auction came to a close for a copy of the album Kasim with no bids being placed, despite the opening price being only $7.99. I suspect the fact that the seller was in Sweden put off a few people.
03/12/01
19.30 - I added the news about Kasim's forthcoming gig in Bryn Mawr to the Future Appearances section of the site and to the front page. PLEASE NOTE that this gig has not yet been confirmed by KasimSulton.com.
18.00 - Retrospectively, I added the news of Kasim's gig last Saturday at The Bottom Line to the News section of the site, plus the news about KasimSulton.com
17.00 - I added this weeks great set of photos from "The Frank Ciapanna Collection". As promised they are the remaining six shots from the Bassics magazine shoot. They can be found in the Photos section of the site or there is a "FastTrack" link to them on the front page of the site.
13.30 - There was a post on a Glen Burtnik mailing list about a gig that Kasim played last Saturday night: "Jackie DeShannon credited Glen Burtnik with putting her band together, and I have to
tell you it was quite a band. Tom Brislin played keys, Kasim Sulton played bass, Dave and Ray Anthony played percussion and drums, respectively, and Jimmy Leahey played lead guitar. Glen played his black Guild acoustic. All in all, it was a pretty entertaining evening. I was familiar with the more obvious tunes, like "Bette Davis Eyes" and "Needles and Pins," but enjoyed most of the less-familiar stuff as well. The band closed out the evening with a couple nice covers of Blind Faith's "Can't Find My Way Home"
and Springsteen's "Hungry Heart." Definitely worth the 80 mile trip. " There was an amusing response posted too: "Tom Brislin!!!! WooHooo! Nutrocker. Kick ass. Of course, Kasim's no eyesore either and very talented to boot. Sounds like quite a show!"
09.15 - I added the message from Kasim's new official website KasimSulton.com to the Kasim's Messages feature on this site.
06.20 - I added the "FastTrack" box on the front page to the important message from Kasim on Kasim's new official website KasimSulton.com.
04.00 - Kasim's new official website KasimSulton.com now has a totally new look with an important message from Kasim himself on it!! The site will be opening fully in April 2001!
