A mere 15 minutes after Mr. Waite left the stage, Meat Loaf’s tight backup band arrived. After a few thunderous opening chords, the big man with the big voice ambled out, accompanied by his female backup singers, who were decked out in head-to-toe leather. The 5,200 on hand wailed their enthusiasm.

Kasim described this concert as "These past five shows we've had a special guest openning for us, my old friend John Waite. What a great voice the guy has! We go WAY back. Right after his biggest hit in the 80's - 'Missing You' - both Willie Wilcox and myself were thinking of joining him on tour. We did a few rehearsals in N.Y.C. with him but it never panned out. We've remained friends and it was great to have him and his guitarist Jimmy Lehey on board with us for these past few shows."
