Comments by a Meat Loaf fan about the gig:
It was a wonderful hot evening and we all had a lot of fun!!
The stage "grew" into the lawn. That was great because we stood directly in front of the stage without a gap between our heros and us. Only the grass was there and Meat did use it in more than one time like the stage and so he was in touch with us
The set lasted 95 minutes.
Copies of Quid Pro Quo were available at the merchandise stand and there was a large poster announcing KSultonBass.com
The opening act was the same girl singer and her band who played at the Bonn concert (Valentino) and Mark Gillespie who opened in Mainz.
There were about 5,000 people there.
sadly the audience weren't as receptive as at other German concerts
Meat Loaf did an unusual thing (for us here in Germany): He left the stage and went into the audience during "You Took The Words" to "convince" someone to sing the song!
Kasim was playing and looking very great, as always!!

Click here for a great 16 second video clip of Meat Loaf introducing Kasim Sulton and then Kasim playing his signature bass.

The German website MeatLoafRocks.de has links to some great photos of this concert on this page onwards. Also on this page are links to videoclips of the concerts. The best shot of Kasim (IMHO) is:
Anything For Love
There's a load of photos by Jasmin Bangert of the Meat Loaf concert in Hamburg, Germany on 28th June on the Meat Loaf German Fan Club website. The best one that features Kasim is:
With Meat Loaf.
Kasim Sulton
Kasim described this concert as:
"I've been a little under the weather for the past couple of days.
I woke up the other morning with my head about to explode. I'll spare you the gory details and leave it at a case of an over night head cold. I don't get sick often but when I do ... well, lets just say I can be cranky.
So, this show in Hamburg wasn't a stellar performance for me by any means as I was trying to shake the congestion with a combination of Vitamins and over the counter cold remedies. I was out of sorts the whole evening so I apologize to anyone who noticed I was off my game ..."
Many thanks to Eva Siebert and Susi Hauner for the photos and video clip on this page.
