Warrior Whore Life Is A Lemon Black Betty DeadRinger For Love Out Of The Frying Pan (And Into The Fire) You Took The Words Right Outta My Mouth Only When I Feel All Revved Up Paradise By The Dashboard Light
Anything For Love Mercury Blues Just a short review as I took loads of photos tonight! We got there as the gates opened at 5.30pm and had to walk all around the stand to get on the pitch for the standing area. When we got there we were annoyed to discover that there were seats in front of the standing part! I had been warned by someone that this would happen but we with never told that by TicketMaster when we booked our tickets. Thankfully we managed to get in the second row but on Paul's side - it turns out that it's just as well that we opted for that side as on the few occasions when Kasim did come across there, we couldn't see him when he stood back. I rarely saw Mark (only when he plaed guitar at the beginning of Whore), CC only when she moved across to Patti's place and John only in the line-up!
Melanie C played from 6.00pm until 6.35pm and does improve the more times you hear her! Her new single (which is the only slow song she plays) is actually quite good! Status Quo were excellent and really got the crowd rocking! They have such a catalogue of hits so that often they would sing part of one song and then go into another of their hits (it helps that lots of their songs sound familiar though!). Unfortunately they didn't play my favourite In The Army now.
Meat Loaf was on from 8.50 unit 10.25pm (according to the rugby clock there) so this was the longest gig so far. Just a couple of observations:
