Only a very short review tonight as for me the highlight of the concert was definitely Kasim’s opening set.

This was a good concert but seemed quite short to me. I don’t time these things but afterwards I was told that it was 20 minutes shorter than normal. The only song that was omitted was I’d Lie For You (and that’s only half a song anyway) so I think that there must have been far less waffle than normal.

Right at the beginning Meat Loaf shouted out to get all the ushers out of the aisles which is the prompt for people to get out of their seats and go to the barriers but very few did so he had to say it again later.

After the concert there were several comments from fans saying that a lot of Testify was mimed! Not the beginning bit (which I would have thought was the hardest part) but once the song got going. Several people apparently noticed that Meat Loaf did his best to cover his mouth as much as possible during that song and at the times that his mouth was visible, he wasn’t singing in time with the vocals! I was too busy watching Kasim to notice any of this but they all said that they only noticed it during Testify.

The show tonight was sold out or almost sold out and they certainly did get some well deserved applause all through the concert tonight. Even I noticed how shattered Meat Loaf looked at the end of his set though!
