Kasim Sulton tonight held another online chat with his fans at the KasimSulton2 Yahoo board. Despite the fact that it was only mentioned on a handfull of the mailing lists, it was very well attended (even Kasim remarked on how many people were in the room!), partly due to a lot of people from the "Angry" club attending. Kasim was very attentative to all his fans and answered all the questions that people asked. Kasim stayed for about two hours, despite receiveing a telephone call from Meat Loaf during the chat about a schedule change tomorrow!
The main points of the chat were:
The two Kasim Solo gigs that are already booked in February MAY be Kasim's only solo gigs of 2003 "if all goes as Meat plans"
Todd Rundgren will be singing background vocals on one track on the new Meat Loaf CD
Kasim has the background vocals to sing on just one more track of the new Meat Loaf album (the track with Todd)
Kasim said his favorite album that influenced him was Meet The Beatles
Kasim's official website will be changed "by Mid-week" with "an all new look" ("clouds")
Kasim will start his opening set on the Meat Loaf Winter Tour with the same songs as he played on the Summer Tour but he's thinking about getting the whole band to join him for one song
Meat Loaf's plans are to do promotion for the album both in US and in Europe until May
Meat Loaf's Summer Tour in 2003 will "probably" be in UK and Europe
Kasim was supposed to be recording more background vocals tomorrow but that may be changed due to the producer (Peter Mokran) being stuck in Halifax
Kasim's appearance at Borders in Chicago is "almost" confirmed
Kasim will be working on his new CD all of next year - "I have a couple of songs already started"
Kasim is hoping to take a band with him on his next tour
Many thanks to David M. Driskell for the above logo
