Mini Review

A very disappointing start as, after playing $59 (plus taxes) for a second row seat, there was no opening set by Kasim Sulton!

There was another more local acoustic duo that opened instead (the main guy used to be in a USA group called Mr Big), and I still kept hoping it meant Kasim would do his set since even security knew he was supposed to, but he didn't.....

The show was later invaded by tons of flying bugs (the venue is basically right next to the giant lake here). At one point Kasim actually once swatted at one and immediately kept playing and I swear he didn't miss a beat!

The whole show seemed a bit rushed as Meat didn't stop any songs tonight..... oh wait yes he did, Paradise By The Dashboard Light just right after he sang the part about parking by the lake. It literally just occured to him that he was in fact singing by a lake and then had to stop and go see it, and so then he started that one over again!

Last night although Meat had gotten other song words wrong (the first song, Life Is A Lemon, he started by singing the second verse!), apparently tonight Kasim either yelled to him that he got the words to Tear Me Down wrong, or Kasim uttered it to someone onstage and Meat heard it, because when Meat finished the song, he had to point out that Kasim told him he got it wrong. and they had some jokes about it! Kasim is always working so hard for Meat Loaf, even just seeing him in charge is so nice to see. Of course it would be nice to see him perform his solo set tonight again too, but I guess one can't have everything!
