For 30 years singer / songwriter Kasim Sulton has worked with artists as diverse as Todd Rundgren, The New Cars, Meat Loaf, Joan Jett, Utopia, Celine Dion, Bon Jovi and Hall & Oates, plus he played a series of appearances in the musical Movin' Out on Broadway as well as having his own solo career. In 2006 Kasim toured as part of The New Cars on The Road Rage Tour. Last year he toured US and Europe with Meat Loaf to promote his latest album Bat Out Of Hell III from February until the tour was cut short in October due to Meat Loaf developing a cyst on a vocal chord. Kasim's own CD, Quid Pro Quo, was released in 2002 on Sphere Sound Records and won the 2003 Kweevak.com 2003 People's Choice Award. To the delight of his fans, Kasim released a compilation solo album called All Sides in March'07! Kasim played 3 solo gigs last summer plus he played more last month. Kasim has just completed touring the MidWest as part of Todd Rundgren's following successful tours of the West Coast in September and the East Coast in December. This month he has been touring both Japan and US with Todd again and in the early summer he will be with Meat Loaf in Europe. Kasim has booked a solo gig in Woodstock, NY on 17th May and another in Boston on 27th May.

Kasim Sulton's Solo Career
To the delight of his fans in summer 2006 Kasim embarked on a 12 gig solo tour! Reviews of the gigs were outstanding in their praise of Kasim so he played a 6 date Winter Solo Tour in January 2007 and 3 more solo gigs in summer'07 during the Meat Loaf tour - he played Cleveland on 8th August, Toronto on the 15th and Fort Lauderdale on 29th August. Kasim played more solo gigs in March 2008 and two more gigs have been announced for 17th May in Woodstock, NY and 27th May in Boston, MA.
At the beginning of July 2005 Kasim Sulton played his first international solo gig at The Night and Day Cafe in Manchester, England.
The first special edition limited run of Kasim's latest album Quid Pro Quo has sold out and the second edition is now available. To the delight of his fans worldwide, in March'07 Kasim Sulton released a special compilation 27 track 2-CD album called All Sides which brings together the best songs of Kasim's 30+ years career!

Kasim with Todd Rundgren
During 2004 Kasim Sulton toured the US, Europe and Japan with Todd Rundgren to promote his album, Liars. This link has reviews of the gigs and a DVD of the tour was later released. In September'07 Kasim played a short 3 week tour of the West Coast with Todd Rundgren and 12 more dates were played in December on the East Coast. In January'08 more gigs were played in the MidWest and Todd has mentioned touring again in July to promote his forthcoming album which is rumored to have an "arenas rock" theme! Unfortunately it looks likley that Kasim will not be involved in that as he is touring Europe with Meat Loaf at that time. Prior to that, Kasim is currently playing 6 gigs in 9 days with Todd in the south east after playing a short tour of Japan with Todd's band.

Kasim with Meat Loaf
In November 2005 Bat Out Of Hell III started being recorded in Los Angeles - Kasim played bass and sings background vocals on the album which was released worldwide in October 2006. A tour to promote to album started in February'07 but had to stop in October as Meat Loaf developed a cyst on a vocal chord. However new dates are now being booked for June to August'08 in Europe.

Kasim and The New Cars
From 12th May until 10th June 2006 Kasim joined Elliot Easton, Greg Hawkes, Todd Rundgren and Prairie Prince to tour as The New Cars on their Road Rage Tour. Unfortunately the tour was canceled on 13th June as Elliot Easton had to have an operation after he broke his shoulder. They played 2 concerts in September'06 and then the tour resumed in November and December. Despite Kasim's heavy schedule of Meat Loaf commitments at that time, he played most of the gigs on the winter leg of the tour and 7 more in summer'07. Unfortunately it appears unlikely that any more gigs will be played at the present time.

"Kasim is a songwriter of uncommon gifts. I cannot recommend this performer highly enough to anyone who is a fan of pop music or singer/songwriters in general. He was simply one of the best I've ever seen"
